Welcome to Robins Class. I’m Miss McGrail, the Robins Class teacher and I’m supported in class by Mrs Parker. We are a hardworking class of Year 5 children.
In KS2, we try to encourage the children to become more independent learners. When you drop your child at the gate, they leave their coats and bags in the cloakroom and come into class to wash their hands. This is when they then have an opportunity to change their reading books and complete any early morning tasks.
We are currently trying to spend as much time outside as possible, this means that even if it is a bit wet and cold, we will be outside for break and lunchtime. Please make sure your child has a waterproof coat with them every day (even if the sun is shining when you leave home in the morning).
PE kits need to be in school all week (we may decide to do an extra PE session during the week), again where possible these will be outside. Please send your child with jogging bottoms/leggings and a sweatshirt as the weather starts to get colder. Girls will also need a spare pair of socks in their PE kits if they are coming into school wearing tights (we don’t allow tights to be left on under shorts for PE).
Attached is the class fact sheet for further information about our class.
If you need to speak to me about your child’s progress or any concerns you have, you can either drop me an email email@example.com or ring the school office and I will call you back at the end of the day.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
