  • Meet the Governors

    Welcome to our Governors' section...

    School Governors are a group of volunteers who act as a "critical friend" to the schools headteacher to ensure high standards of achievement for all children.

      The role is strategic and focuses on:

    • Setting the school's vision, ethos and strategic direction;
    • Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils;
    • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.

    The constitution of Linton Primary School's governing body is made up of:

    2 parent governors

    1 LA governor

    1 staff governor

    1 Headteacher

    6 co-opted governors

    2 partnership governors (13 Governors in Total)

    Many tasks are delegated to the Resources committee (Res) or the Performance and Standards committee (P&S).  In addition, we have a Head Teachers Performance Management committee (HTPM) and a Teachers pay committee (Pay). Other committees are formed as the need arises.
